“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

The brothers of Delta Sigma Iota believe that the community has shaped to who we are today and who we will become in the future. The brothers believe that service is not a once in a while activity to be done; it is a responsibility that we carry as privileged individuals. It is up to us to make sure that we do everything in our power to help those who do not have the luxuries that everyone takes for granted. To ensure this, we have held numerous SAMAR and blood drives in conjunction with other organizations, such as the Association of Indians at Rutgers and the Muslim Student Association, around campus. Along with holding events through the fraternity, each brother is required to complete service hours outside of Delta Sigma Iota to show true commitment or serviceOur brotherhood also works with Embrace Kids Foundation and participates in Dance Marathon to raise money for children with leukemia and other blood disorders and their families with financial aid for non-medical expenses. Beside our national and chapter philanthropy, we have also worked with Habitat for Humanity several times and take part in Gandhi’s Be the Change Day of Service.  We vow to give back to the community that has given to us much more than we can ever repay.
