South Asian Bone Marrow Registration

Delta Sigma Iota's national philanthropy is the mission of South Asian bone marrow registration. Minorities, especially South Asians, are underrepresented in the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry. As a result minority patients who are in need of a transplant have a very difficult time finding a match. Delta Sigma Iota is focusing its efforts to help to get as many minorities registered so that those in need can have better odds of finding a match.

The South Asian Marrow Association of Recruiters (SAMAR) serves patients diagnosed with leukemia and other fatal blood disorders from the South Asian community and other minority groups who are in search of Blood Stem Cell/Marrow donors. Click the images below for information about this initiative.
