Why DSI?

"Because I ended my first semester here at Rutgers with nothing real to show for three months of my time spent.  I wanted to become a part of something bigger than just some friends hanging out and wasting time, I wanted to make a difference.  The three pillars (service, education, and unity), coupled with the organizational framework behind the scenes, work together to push the brothers to step up and realize their potential in society and molds them into leaders."

What Have you Gained from Delta Sigma Iota?

"Through the past semesters, being a brother of Delta Sigma Iota has instilled an immense amount of quality into my life.  From what I've learned from Delta Sigma Iota, I've been able to develop and refine skills like leadership, time management, and professionalism, as well as put them to good use by excelling in internships, attaining leadership positions of other organizations, and developing a career path that suits me best.  However, I believe the most important thing that I've gained from Delta Sigma Iota is the value of giving back to my community.  I've realized the potential that each person has, and the amount of change and difference that I, alone, can make.  The opportunities presented to me have been inspirational and moving, and something that I now try to pass on to those around me, in an effort to help our community. "
